WHO SAYS WORK HAS TO BE BORING?

seriously? yes, sometimes work drags on and you feel like 5 o'clock is never going to come. but that doesn't mean you can't spice up your wardrobe and be a little daring. {yes, i tend to push the boundaries of what is "work appropriate." butttttt why not have a little fun while sitting in an office for eight hours?} here are just a few tips i have for any sexy lady looking to spice up her officewear. 

 

1. pencil skirts. nothing is more sexy. try getting a faux leather, teal, or peplum one. the options are endless and so many tops look great with them.

2. dresses. and i don't mean shake your booty, club hopping dresses. but i do wear sundresses into the office, especially during the summer. i tend to pair them with a long cardigan or shrug.

3. blazers. the business attire essential that does not have to be boring. find a black and white striped one or royal blue one. again, peplum is in so don't be afraid of a peplum blazer.

4. pumps. this is where you can get really sexy and flirty. you do not need to stick to black, patent pumps. kat von d and iron fist offer great options if you have a darker side like myself.

5. jewelry. troll bead bracelets are a unique way to show off your style. also, i am a lover of rings. the ashbaswag afu ring is my new absolute favorite!

6. makeup. don't do the same eyeshadow every day. yes, i know no one wants to spend a lot of time on their hair and makeup at 6am but if you find a couple good shadows, you can just sweep them over the lid, load up on the eyeliner and mascara, and be on your way. i love champagne shimmers, gun metals, and taupes. and i ALWAYS highlight my brow bone.

no go find some steals {like forever 21, charlotte russe, kohls, macy's, and hot topic} and add some fun to your work day!

 

 

STITCHED UP

creepy cute! just my style... recently i have been loving stitches on my nails. {not gonna lie, both variations are inspired by mr. dj ashba!} they are honestly pretty easy to do. not super easy. but still easy. all you need is a steady hand, nail art polish, and/or toothpicks. above is variation one. simply paint your nails.. i've been into the black and white combo. then, with either a toothpick or revlon's nail art polish, carefully paint a line with tiny stitches. in variation two, which is shown below, paint all of your nails white. once they have dried, paint the tips black on a slight diagonal. once that has dried {again, using a toothpick or nail art} paint gray stitches along the line where the black and white meets. i hope you enjoy these dementedly cute nails just as much as i do!

WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE

  

dj killed it! he was full on, jumping around, messing around with the crowd, and playing the hell out of that guitar for close to three hours. these are just some of my favorite pics from the night... {what was going to be a few pics turned into a ton! i just couldn't decide!!} ps - i cannot believe this time a week ago i was standing front row watching my favorite band!

TAKE ME DOWN TO THE PARADISE CITY

yes, that is dj ashba. in case you don't know who dj is... he is the lead guitarist of guns n roses and sixx am. not to mention he is my biggest inspiration. now, let me explain how this happened. i took a road trip up to buffalo, ny to see guns n roses. i was lucky enough to meet dj and bass player, tommy stinson at the hotel before the show. dj was so so so sweet. i also got a meet and greet with dj and dizzy reed, which was amazing. during the show i was front row at dj's side of the stage. i got multiple hugs, a few guitar picks, a shot of jager, and a kiss to top it all off!! i was also able to hang out with dj after the concert, which was a blast!! needless to say... i was hurting the next day. but, i had the time of my life and could not be more happy!! {a week later and i'm still on cloud nine!!}

MISS ME??

i'm back... with black hair!! sorry for the long absence. dance and work got incredibly busy. BUT dance is over for the summer, which means more me time and new posts! so.. keep an eye out because i'm feeling inspired!
