GOING BATTY

hallowen is by far my favorite holiday. i love all the decorations. recently, i was watching grav3yardgirl on youtube and came across a video about her halloween christmas tree. i immediately thought i have to do this amazing idea. it carries halloween over a couple more months plus its a great way to get another use out of those decorations. since now is the time when all the halloween decor is out on the shelves, i have been stocking up on knick knacks i can stick on my tree come december! i found a pack of sixteen rubber bats at walmart and knew they would be perfect to stick in the tree. however, they were a little boring. i remembered i had a new case of red glitter just waiting to be used. so... when i got home, i got to mod podging and glitterizing. some bats i covered completely and some i did a little more "messy." they were super quick to face lift and i think they will look fabulous on the tree!

FALL COLORS

i am obsessed with nail polish. obsessed. to the point where almost every time i go out i pick up a new polish. with the crisp, fall air if finally starting to blow in, it was time to start painting my nails those gorgeous fall colors. {although i am guilty of wearing dark polishes year round... they are just my favorite!} here are just a few of my favorite polishes for those autumn months.

{petites - jamaican rum, revlon - knockout, wet n wild - disturbia, rimmel - steel grey}

{china glaze - hook and line, essie - wicked, sonia kashuk - tango mango, claw polish}

ps i love how the claw polish is shaped in a coffin bottle. i found it at party city. {one of my favorite stops during the halloween season!}

IN BETWEEN FASHION

{burtonesque necklace!}

as i said in a previous post, fall is my favorite time of year! once september 1st hits its officially fall in my eyes. i cannot break out all of my favorite fall fashions yet since its still 80 degrees out. however, i have been loving some of the in between summer and fall trends. i've been wearing shorts and boots a lot to class. this is perfect since its still hot outside but freezing in the classrooms. i've also been into anything native american/ western. {target has a great selection of native american inspired accessories.} i have also been rocking some more halloween-inspired pieces like the necklace above.

 {loving motorcycle boots!}
