HAPPY EASTER

happy easter! :) this year i didn't get around to dying my eggs until last night. but i think they came out really good! i thought i would share them so any other last minute dyers could get some ideas. {or even get inspired for next year..} a lot of them came out multicolored on their own, which was a nice surprise. the ones with lines were created by tying rubber bands around the eggs before putting them in the die. my favorites would have to be the stitched egg inspired by dj ashba and the skeleton!

SHADES OF A SHADOW

i am definitely a makeup kind of girl. i love it! especially doing dramatic eye looks with bold lips. however, that's not super practical for work and dance. {and when you wake up before the sun rises, you don't want to spend a lot of time on makeup..} so i have a few shadow staples that i use on an every day basis. i simply sweep the color all over my lid, add a little eyeliner and mascara, and off i go. no crease color, contouring, or blending needed with these. on the top: urban decay's naked palette and bobbi brown's rock star. on the bottom: mac's naked lunch, shale, and elf's moondust. love love love all of these shadows!

since i have been so super busy and haven't been able to post on here as much, i thought i would direct you to my twitter. the one thing i always have with me is my iphone so i am constantly updating the twitter. there you can keep up with what i'm doing when it's quiet here. plus, i would love it if you followed me! ps this happened the other day and it just about made my life... i love love love dj ashba and to have him follow me is a dream come true!!

MADE WITH LOVE

yesterday was my one boss' and one coworker's birthdays. so needless to say, there were lots of celebrations! since my boss at dance has been so great to me i decided to do something special for her. i decided to make my mom's amazing brownies... but, instead of boring ol' squared, i thought i would use my new heart shaped cookie cutters. {i got them off amazon and they weren't more than a dollar!!} so i made two batches of brownies then used the cutter to make them cute! it really added a special touch that showed they were made with love!! it would be a great way to doll up any baked good gift for loved ones. plus, you are left with a bunch of "brownie guts" {as i like to call them} so you can enjoy the brownies too!

THE DARK DO

yes, that's me! i just keep going darker and darker.. soon it will be black! let me just say, i could not be loving the dark hair more. sometimes i miss my blonde locks but i think this compliments my skin better and makes my eyes pop. plus, it will be much easier to maintain. and now i feel like the outside is starting to match my inner, demented dark side!!
